
GREENWICH — First Selectman Fred Camillo will join local, and state elected officials for a “Welcome Home” Key Presentation ceremony at the Greenwich Communities affordable housing development on Saturday, Feb. 21.
The two-hour ceremony, which will start at 10 a.m. in the Winston A. Robinson Community Room at Armstrong Court, celebrates the latest families to move into the community’s newly modernized residences. Armstrong Court has undergone extensive renovations to provide energy-efficient, dignified, and modern living spaces.
“We are thrilled to have First Selectman Camillo, and our state representatives join us for this special occasion,” said Anthony Johnson, Greenwich Communities CEO. “Their support is a testament to the fact that when we provide quality housing, we are strengthening the entire town. It is a proud day for our residents and our leadership team.”
Greenwich Communities will offer a light breakfast and drinks for the public event where local leaders about the future of housing in Greenwich.
“Handing over keys to a new home is a life-changing moment for our residents,” added Sam Romeo, the Board of Commissioners chair. “Having our town’s leadership there to witness it shows these families that they are a valued and vital part of the fabric of Greenwich.”
Greenwich Communities manages 1,233 apartments across 13 residential properties. Since 1946, the organization has provided high-quality, affordable housing that promotes self-sufficiency and economic independence for seniors, families, and individuals in the Greenwich community.
