
WESTPORT – Coffey Modica LLP, which specializes in defending business and insurance clients, has elevated two of its firm’s attorneys have been promoted to managing partner.
Patricia Mooney of Pleasantville, New York, has been named managing partner for the firm’s Tarrytown, New York, office and Megan Bryson of Fairfield has been named managing partner of Coffey Modica’s downtown Westport office.
Bryson, whose 15-year legal career spans professional liability, employment law, commercial litigation and aviation matters, has been tasked with directing Coffey Modica’s Connecticut practices.
In her new role, Bryson oversees all active litigation matters across the state, onboarding new attorneys, generating new business and overseeing strategic direction and growth. The firm’s Connecticut headquarters is located at 65 Jesup Road.

Mooney is a 20-year veteran defending insurance firms. In this leadership role, Mooney oversees the administrative staff and acts as the direct report for 23 attorneys, including four partners, three counsel and 16 legal associates. She is responsible for distributing cases, handling HR concerns and facilitating the professional development resources that help firm attorneys stay on track. The office is located at 100 White Plains Road.
Since joining the firm in 2021, Mooney built a practice that focused on construction litigation, including New York labor law matters, general and premises liability, medical malpractice and nursing home negligence cases.
“I have been with Coffey Modica since its earliest days and it has been my passion to watch the firm flourish from those original start-up days,” Mooney said. “We have a really great slate of talented and dedicated attorneys and staff, and I want to see all of them grow and succeed. This new role will help me to do that, developing and retaining the exceptional legal talent we have not only in our Tarrytown practice but across all of our New York offices.”
