Student Advocacy to Host 31st Annual “Overcoming the Odds” Awards Celebration Honoring Westchester Students

Student Advocacy, Inc. will host its 31st Annual Overcoming the Odds Awards Celebration on Tuesday, May 19 at Tappan Hill Mansion in Tarrytown, bringing together educators, community leaders, and local advocates for an evening centered on resilience, access, and achievement.

The event will honor six students from across Westchester County who have overcome significant personal and academic challenges – from learning differences to mental health obstacles – to succeed in school. Throughout the evening, student honorees will share their stories, offering a powerful and personal look at the impact of advocacy and support systems in shaping their educational journeys.

Emceed by WNBC’s Dave Price, the celebration will also recognize the Westchester County Bar Foundation as this year’s Community Partner Honoree, with support from Ambassador for Advocacy sponsors Acquavella Family Foundation and Karen and David Blumenthal.
