Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry recently completed an upgrade and 2,000-square-foot expansion of the now 15,274-square-foot Library Learning Commons.
The renovated center includes: a library instructional lab, “SMART” classrooms, a videoconferencing facility, group study space, new seating and library café.
“The new Library Learning Commons offers a supportive learning environment that encourages self-discovery and the acquisition of knowledge to promote student success,” said Mercy College President Kimberly Cline in a statement. “As Mercy College continues to enhance its services and infrastructure, we are well positioned to meet the increasing need for graduates who are prepared for in-demand careers.”
The library commons project was funded by more than $2 million in grants.
