The CEO of Serendipity Labs, the shared office space startup in Rye, will host a monthly tech meetup group starting in September.
John P. Arenas said his Westfair Tech Ventures will offer support, resources and guidance for the area’s emerging technology firms.
The group will meet at Serendipity Labs at 80 Theodore Fremd Ave. in Rye every third Thursday, starting September 19. Arenas said more than 50 companies or technology ventures have joined the group within two weeks of forming.
“Technology ventures face unique challenges for capital formation, talent recruitment and costs of operation in Westchester and Fairfield counties,” he said in the announcement. “We aim to foster a community that celebrates innovation and recognizes the risks that pioneering, emerging growth company leaders face in creating value and high-quality employment here.”
Two venture capital experts will speak about readiness for capital raising at the Sept. 19 kickoff event.
