The Guidance Center of Westchester, the Mount Vernon-based nonprofit that provides social, medical and cultural programs and services to those in need, has named Ann R. Hyatt its new director of development, officials said recently.
Hyatt previously served as senior vice president for development and external relations at The Bridge, a New York City social services agency. Prior to that position, Hyatt worked in development positions at Pace Law School, Mercy College, Legal Services of the Hudson Valley, Blythedale Children’s Hospital in Valhalla and New York University. She also taught at SUNY Purchase’s fundraising certificate program.
Guidance Center of Westchester Executive Director Amy Gelles said Hyatt’s 20-plus years in the development field make her a “valuable addition to our executive team.”
The Guidance Center of Westchester, which has more than 200 employees and seven offices and clinics in Mount Vernon, New Rochelle and Tarrytown, offers programs in 35 county communities, including college and career initiatives through partnerships with Mount Vernon, New Rochelle and Nelson Mandela high schools, as well as early childhood education programs, housing services, mental health services and substance use treatment programs.
