Nationwide employment law firm Jackson Lewis P.C.recently announced that Michael L. Abitabilo has been elevated from office litigation manager (OLM) to office managing principal (OMP) in White Plains. He succeeds Joseph A. Saccomano, who is stepping down after 19 years of service. Jonathan M. Kozak will assume the role of OLM.
“Michael’s abilities as both an attorney and a leader make him the ideal choice to step into this role,” said Kevin Lauri, firm chair. “His guidance and dedication to delivering top-tier legal counsel will be crucial as we continue to grow our presence in the metro New York market. We’re confident he will build on the foundation Joe has laid, taking the White Plains office to new heights and further solidifying Jackson Lewis’ standing as a leader in employment law.”
In addition to his prior role as OLM, Abitabilo represents employers in a wide range of employment litigation matters. His practice spans both state and federal courts, as well as key agencies, and he has been involved in several notable decisions defending clients against discrimination, harassment and other workplace-related claims. He also has extensive experience in both private and public-sector labor law, including handling collective bargaining negotiations, grievance arbitrations and unfair labor practice disputes.
Abitabilo earned his J.D. from Hofstra University’s Maurice A. Deane School of Law and his B.A. from Marist College.
