
The American Hospital Association (AHA) honored Montefiore Nyack Hospital in Nyack, New York, in appreciation for its 75 years of participation and leadership in the AHA. On May 22, AHA Regional Executive Michael Draine presented the award to Montefiore Nyack Hospital President and CEO Mark E. Geller, M.D., FACR.
“The American Hospital Association is proud to recognize Montefiore Nyack Hospital for 75 years of membership in the AHA and for their dedication to the Rockland County area,” said Draine. “We thank their leaders, medical staff, caregivers and colleagues for providing a full range of medical care that is tailored to meet each patient’s needs.”

The AHA anniversary award recognizes hospitals whose decades of active participation reflect their enduring partnership with the AHA in advancing health-care policy, quality and patient safety.
Montefiore Nyack Hospital is a 375-bed community acute care medical and surgical hospital founded in 1895. Its mission is to provide competent, innovative and accessible emergency and acute care services to the residents of Rockland County, New York, and its surrounding areas. It is a member of Montefiore Health System and a partner with Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine, providing clinical rotations to medical students.
