Healey Brothers in Goshen has kicked off its August Community Food Drive to help alleviate hunger across the region. In partnership with the Food Bank of the Hudson Valley, Healey Brothers is inviting community members to drop off nonperishable food items at any of its nine dealership locations now through Aug. 31.
Requested donation items include canned and boxed goods, cereals and grains, nonperishable snacks and baby food or formula. For safety reasons, no glass containers or jars or pet food will be accepted. Donations may qualify as tax-deductible; donors are encouraged to consult with their tax advisor.
“Food insecurity continues to impact families in every corner of our community,” said Jay Healey, chief marketing officer at Healey Brothers. “We believe that by working together, we can make a real difference for our neighbors in need.”
To encourage widespread participation, Healey Brothers has added a friendly competition: the dealership location collecting the most donations during August will receive a special prize.
The Community Food Drive builds on Healey Brothers’ longstanding partnership with the Food Bank of the Hudson Valley. In 2023, the company’s Driven to Give Foundation donated $50,000 to the Food Bank of the Hudson Valley, providing $250,000 worth of food for families in Orange and Dutchess counties. The final portion of the contribution was delivered in May of this year. Healey Brothers’ continued support underscores its dedication to strengthening the communities it serves.
