The 500-member Greater Valley Chamber of Commerce is running its fifth annual Greater Valley Restaurant Week, Monday, Oct. 5 to Saturday, Oct. 10. Twenty-two restaurants are on board. Shelton eateries dominate, but Derby, Ansonia and Seymour are also represented.
“With a variety of new restaurants opening throughout the region, we are thrilled about the growth of the Valley restaurant scene.” Greater Valley Chamber President Bill Purcell said. “The Chamber urges all businesses and residents alike to take advantage of the special menus and pricing offered during Valley Restaurant Week and to patronize our Valley restaurants throughout the year.”
During Greater Valley Restaurant Week, participating restaurants in the region will offer special deals with prix fixe two- and three-course menus.
The effort also incorporates the 51-year-old chamber”™s online photo contest, in which diners can post pictures of their Greater Valley Restaurant Week adventures on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram and include #GVRW15, for the opportunity to win a $50 gift card.
The restaurants currently participating include 121 Restaurant & Bar in Oxford; Antonio”™s in Ansonia; Archie Moore”™s in Derby; Bricks & Barley in Shelton; Center Street Social in Shelton; Copper City Bar & Grill ”“ Ansonia; Courtyard Bistro in Shelton; Crave in Ansonia; Draft House in Shelton; Focaccia”™s Café & Catery in Shelton; Giove”™s Pizza Kitchen in Shelton; GROW in Shelton; Il Palio Ristorante in Shelton; La Scogliera in Shelton; Liquid Lunch in Shelton; Red Clover Café in Seymour; Red Lotus in Shelton; River House Café in Derby; Seasonal Sweets & Catering in Derby; Tavern 1757 in Seymour; Vazzy”™s Cucina in Shelton and Wellington”™s in Shelton.
