
FAIRFIELD – The home of a liquor store on Tunxis Hill Road was sold to local commercial real estate investors for $888,888, according to the Norwalk-based commercial real estate broker Choyce Peterson, Inc.
The 75-year-old, 2,619-square-foot building located at 525 Tunxis Hill Road houses In Higher Spirits was sold by 525 Tunxis Hill Rd LLC operated by Ken and Sharon Doughty. The buyers are Scott and Eva Howes, local commercial real estate investors who own other retail properties in the area. They purchased the property under the name ESH888 LLC, according to property records. 525 Tunxis Hill Road LLC bought the property in 2015 for $925,000.
In Higher Spirits was opened by sommelier Joel Lall in 2021.
The property sits less than two blocks from two grocery stores – Stop & Shop and ALDI.
Choyce Peterson’s Capital Markets team, led by Vice Presidents Scott Peterson and Charlene
O’Connell, was appointed by the Doughtys as the exclusive sale listing agent.
