Celebrated in 2024 as Westchester Magazine’s Best Nonprofit Event, this powerful gathering takes place each October during Domestic Violence Awareness Month, uniting community leaders, advocates, and supporters to honor changemakers through the “Making a Difference” Award and to raise vital funds ensuring survivors have access to lifesaving legal services.

ABOUT US | PWJC
The Pace Women’s Justice Center (PWJC) provides FREE civil legal services to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and elder abuse. For many, the justice system can be difficult to access; PWJC works to change that through compassionate, multilingual legal support to over 3,500 survivors each year.
Our services include assistance with orders of protection, custody and child support, divorce, spousal support, powers of attorney, and other adult planning documents. In addition to direct legal work, PWJC reaches thousands more through over 140 annual outreach, education, and training programs aimed at building awareness, preventing abuse, and strengthening the community response to interpersonal violence. Visit our website to learn more and how to get involved. As a self-funded nonprofit based at the Elisabeth Haub School of Law, PWJC is committed to ending interpersonal violence through legal advocacy, community partnerships, education, and outreach—all in pursuit of justice and healing.
HONORING | Dr. Nadine Macaluso
After enduring marriage to the infamous “Wolf of Wall Street,” Nadine has made it her life’s work to help other women understand, escape, and heal from their trauma bonds with pathological partners. Her own toxic relationship inspired her to become a psychotherapist, specializing in narcissistic abuse, trauma bond relationships, and complex PTSD. And her private practice quickly flooded with women recounting an all-too-familiar story of abuse.
Her book, Run Like Hell, offers the reader both her personal experience and professional expertise to explain the behaviors of pathological lovers (PL), reveal the traits of women who become the “victims” of PLs, how women can leave safely, and most importantly, heal. Nadine shows how women can be “surthrivers” of these trauma bonds and go on to have healthy, positive relationships and lives armed with knowledge and awareness.
