Fall Fundraiser Film Screening: “Paint Me a Road Out of Here”

Join Garrison Art Center for a one-night-only screening on September 20, 2025 of Paint Me a Road Out of Here, a powerful documentary on artists Faith Ringgold and Mary Enoch Elizabeth Baxter.

The film traces the 50-year journey of Ringgold’s 1971 painting For the Women’s House, from Rikers Island to the Brooklyn Museum. Stay for a Q&A with Emmy Award-winning producer/editor and GAC alum Arielle Amsalem, and Demetrius James of the Bard Prison Initiative.
