BermudAir, which launched in August 2023 as the first Bermuda-based airline and featured initial service to Westchester County Airport along with Boston Logan International Airport and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport in Florida, will be ending service to and from Westchester on Oct. 24.

The end of Westchester service coincides with the start a couple of days later of service at Newark Liberty International and LaGuardia airports. In addition to Bermuda, BermudAir will be offering flights between Newark and the Caribbean island Anguilla. BermudAir also plans to end its service to Hartford/Bradley Airport in Connecticut in December.
“Expanding our New York-area service is a significant step forward for BermudAir, providing both leisure and corporate travellers with more flexibility and convenient access to Bermuda,” said Adam Scott, founder and CEO at BermudAir. “The Newark–Anguilla flights create an exciting opportunity for us to serve a vibrant and diverse travel market that values high-quality island experiences. It allows us to respond to strong demand for easy, reliable access to Caribbean destinations.”
When it started, BermudAir’s Embraer E175 aircraft had a standard 88-seat configuration. However, only 44 seats were sold for each flight. The airline said at the time that all would have both window and aisle access “and plenty of space for carry-on bags – ensuring a comfortable and spacious in-flight experience for travelers.”
