Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro will host a forum Thursday for the county’s third largest employers: the agricultural industry.
The second annual Agriculture Advisory Committee Forum is scheduled for at 8 a.m. Thursday at the Dutchess County Fairgrounds. It will feature more than 50 local farmers, elected officials and representatives from the agriculture industry.
The agriculture industry contributes $50 million to the Dutchess County economy, according to a press release from the county executive’s office. The forum will provide a look at the state of agriculture in the county, including the announcement of a new Agricultural Navigator program and updates on several farmland preservation projects, including six farms awarded funding through Dutchess County’s Partnership for Manageable Growth.
The event is happening prior to the opening of the fair, so attendees must register by 2 p.m. on Aug. 24. Click here to register and for more information.
People looking to attend must also have a printed ticket to enter the forum.
