A soldout crowd of 340 Sept. 26 at Abigail Kirsch at Tappan Hill in Tarrytown received a briefing on Westchester County Association efforts to battle insurance costs and an additional briefing on the intricacies of the wines on hand.
WCA Chairman Alfred DelBello told the assembled before the filet mignon arrived that the WCA had in its crosshairs “unethical and abusive” practices in health care management. He identified the WCA as the leading reformer in this arena statewide.
WCA President Bill Mooney said, “There is no more important thing in this world than to take care of your fellow man,” and said the WCA was engaged in just that practice by seeking better treatment for medical workers and insurance relief for all.
Assemblyman Adam Bradley, saying he was quoting Mooney, said, “You can”™t have a good system if the paper pushers are making more money than the people who provide the services.”
All three received hearty applause for championing reform.
