Seniorly today released the Best of Senior Living Awards 2024, identifying the 334 best facilities in America. New York ranked No. 9 in the nation, thanks to nine award-winning senior living facilities.
In addition, the Inspir Carnegie Hill in Manhattan ($9,000 a month) was ranked the No. 1 best senior living facility in the Northeast and, for that matter, the nation.
The list of the other New York award winners featured two in Westchester County — The Chelsea At Greenburgh ($4,080 a month) and The Country House In Westchester in Yorktown Heights ($4,750 a month). The others were Brightview Sayville, Plattduetsche Home Society, Sunrise at Sheepshead Bay, Sunrise of Dix Hills, Sunrise of North Lynbrook and The Bristal at Westbury.
California led the nation with 106 award-winning facilities. Texas was No. 2 (33 award-winning facilities), followed by Washington (28), Illinois (16), Arizona (15), Pennsylvania (14), New Jersey (12), Michigan (11), Ohio (which tied New York with nine facilities) and Oregon (8).
Connecticut was 16th with Alabama, Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi, New Hampshire, Oklahoma and South Carolina with one award winner each. In the Nutmeg State, that was Anthology of Simsbury ($4,349 a month).
The 334 facilities were chosen after analyzing 500,000 online reviews across 60,000 facilities.
For the first time, Seniorly partnered with Skypoint, a leading generative data company, to mine and analyze reviews to create a sentiment rating across six categories – cleanliness, dining services, staff ratings, value, care services and overall resident satisfaction.
To qualify for the awards, communities had to be in the top 2% of consumer sentiment ratings, be free of licensing violations for the last 36 months and have no evidence of negative media coverage for the last 24 months.
