
WHITE PLAINS – For the seventh consecutive year White Plains Hospital has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report as a “Best Regional Hospital” in Westchester and Hudson Valley, the hospital announced Thursday, July 31. Also, the hospital is ranked No. 12 in the state.
For the first time, White Plains Hospital earned a national ranking in Geriatrics, alongside Pulmonology, which was nationally ranked again this year. In addition, the hospital was recognized as “High Performing” in four specialties:
- Gastroenterology & GI Surgery
- Neurology & Neurosurgery
- Orthopedics
- Urology

The U.S. News & World Report recognition comes on the heels of the Hospital’s receiving several other recent accolades, including: an “A” Safety Grade from the Leapfrog Group for the 13th consecutive time; being ranked as one of the nation’s Best Hospitals and Best Maternity Hospitals by Money; being named to the Best Workplaces in New York list by Fortune for the 3rd consecutive year; and being awarded the comprehensive heart attack center (CHAC) certification from The Joint Commission and American Heart Association.
