The Business Journal got an inside peek last week at The Ritz-Carlton, Westchester, the $600 million, 122-room luxury hotel scheduled to open Dec. 19 at Three Renaissance Square in downtown White Plains.
Built by developer Louis R. Cappelli of Cappelli Enterprises and designed by architect/designer Frank Nicholson Inc. of Concord, Mass., the facility includes office space, three restaurants and a spa.
The Ritz-Carlton, Westchester marks the 70th Ritz worldwide and is said to be the tallest building between New York and Boston. Deluxe hotel rooms are priced from $279 a night and suites are priced from $479 a night, through Jan. 10; prices will increase after that date.
The Renaissance Square project also features two 44-story condominium towers ”“ The Residences at The Ritz-Carlton, Westchester 1 and The Residences at The Ritz-Carlton, Westchester 1. Residences range in price from $1.119 million to $10 million. In the South Tower, which has 184 units, all but six have been sold; 35 percent of 180 units in the North Tower have been sold.
