Ergotech Group Inc., an 8-year-old company in Elmsford, said Bank of America has purchased its computer monitor arms to mount 18,000 flat-panel monitors in the new Bank of America Tower in midtown Manhattan. Chris Malisse, Ergotech president and founder, said it was very likely the single largest sale ever of monitor mounting arms to any company.
“Ergotech arms will be used both at trading desks and office work stations and their installation is already well underway,” he said. Ergotech also is providing the installation service in the $1 billion, 51-story, 2.1 million-square-foot skyscraper at One Bryant Park due to open this year.
Since Malisse started the company in 2000, Ergotech has tapped a fast-growing market for multi-screen displays used widely in finance and other fields such as law enforcement, television, design and general industry. It specializes in mounts for LCD monitors and flat-panel screens with a focus on ergonomic features for user comfort and easy assembly and adjustment, durability and appealing design.
