MOUNT KISCO — The Boys & Girls Club of Northern Westchester (BGCNW) has added four staff members to its team as it strengthens the organization’s leadership and programmatic offerings.

Among the new hires is Alexandra Freer-Hernandez, who is the new director of operations. She is a seasoned nonprofit and legal professional with more than 23 years of legal experience and more than a decade of leadership in nonprofit management. Originally from Puerto Rico, Alexandra has served in roles such as executive director, director of quality, assurance and compliance, and deputy director for residential services. Before joining BGCNW in January 2025, Alexandra contributed her talents across the government, nonprofit, and private sectors in Puerto Rico
Chris Beaudreault, an educator and STEM advocate, has assumed the role of director of teen programs. He brings hands-on teaching experience and a strong commitment to youth development. He previously served as director of technology and STEM programming.

Mike Travers joins BGCNW as head swim team coach. Travers coaching accomplishments

include over 50 NCAA All-Americans and CSCAA Scholar All-Americans, 15 USA Swimming Senior National Qualifiers and numerous Metropolitan Conference champions and record-holders. Travers, a four-time American Swimming Coaches Association (ASCA) Coach of Excellence, collected his own personal achievements in the pool, as well. He was a USA Swimming Senior and Junior National Qualifier, and captured the Senior National Championship in the 4×100-meter relay in 1991.

Dan Beaudreault is the new full-time facilities manager, with more than a decade of experience in youth programming and education. Prior to stepping into this role, he dedicated more than 10 years as a Fun Club counselor. He also spent time as a preschool teacher.
