Fox News emails:Â Lawyers for voting machine manufacturer Dominion Voting Systems, in Dominion’s libel suit against Fox News, have presented emails showing that Fox News hosts Sean Hannity, Tucker Carlson and Laura Ingraham knew what they were saying about Dominion’s machines was false. The emails show that the fox News hosts didn’t believe what they were reporting, such as that Dominion’s machines took votes from Donald Trump and gave then to Joe Biden. Dominion’s attorneys also presented emails showing that Fox News executives, including company head Rupert Murdoch, also knew what the network was reporting was false and they continued to report the lies anyway.
Bruce Willis:Â Actor Bruce Willis has been diagnosed with dementia and has retired from acting. Willis is 67 years old. He’s perhaps best known for the “Die Hard” movies and the movie “Pulp Fiction.”
Lake loses appeal:Â The Arizona Court of Appeals has ruled against Republican Kari Lake who lost to Democrat Katie Hobbs in the contest for Arizona governor. Lake alleged voter fraud and asked that the election result be thrown out and a new election held. The appeals court said there is no evidence of problems with the election.
U.N. vote expected:Â The U.N. General Assembly is expected to vote next week on a resolution that would call for an end to the war in Ukraine. The vote would come after two days of speeches to mark the one-year anniversary on Feb. 24 of Russia having started the war.
AMC financials:Â AMC Networks, headed by James L. Dolan, who also heads Madison Square Garden Sports and other Madison Square Garden operations, reports a fourth quarter 2022 loss of $392 million. AMC Networks reports an operating income for the full year of $86.9 million on revenues of $3 billion. Dolan said AMC Networks is working to reduce costs.
Trump’s claim:Â Donald Trump claims that because excerpts of a report by a Georgia grand jury looking into his attempts to overturn results of the 2020 election in Georgia do not mention his name he has been exonerated of wrongdoing. Only three sections of the full grand jury report were released yesterday. Those sections do not mention anyone by name.
