Sikorsky, through its wholly-owned subsidiary Associated Aircraft Group, is teaming with aviation company Fly Blade Inc. to offer the service.
The helicopter features two counter-rotating rigid blades on its top and a pusher propeller in lieu of a tail rotor.
Sikorsky is in discussions with six Latin American governments for the potential sales of its aircraft.
The performance-based logistics contract covers four years and includes repairs, overhauls, spares, obsolescence mitigation and asset management services on the H-53 heavy-lift helicopters.
The approach will lay the foundation for the university’s electrical engineering program, expected to launch in 2019, the Fairfield-based school said.
