An H&M, Hennes & Mauritz, retail store opened Thursday, Aug. 6, at the Cross County Shopping Center in Yonkers.
The 30,000-square-foot store will encompass two floors.
“We are eager to continue our expansion in the U.S. market with the opening of our first location in the Yonkers area,” said Sanna Lindberg, U.S country manager at H&M in a statement. “H&M makes fashion accessible to everyone by bringing all the latest styles and trends to our stores. H&M is about inspiring and educating shoppers on the joy of fashion and how to develop their own personal style.”
H&M was established in Sweden in 1947 and operates 1,800 stores in 34 countries.
It is known namely for providing designer fashions at lower price points.
The Cross County is undergoing a massive construction project; the price tag is $350 million plus.
Construction will add 200,000 square feet to an already existing million. Macy”™s, a flagship at the shopping center, is adding a $27.4 million extension independent of California-based developer Macerich”™s $350 million.
