The executive team of nurses at Greenwich Hospital donated $1,550 in gift cards to the YWCA Greenwich to support victims and survivors of domestic violence for use during the recent holiday season. “The donation helped women in crisis shop for their children for the holiday season,” said Peggy Lennon, MSN, executive director, surgical services. “It was impressive to see our nursing leaders come together to support women and families in need.”
Kathleen Seiden, chief advancement officer, YWCA Greenwich, said the organization was grateful for the donation. “By giving a gift card, victims of domestic abuse are empowered to make purchasing decisions for themselves and their children,” she said. Domestic violence is the top-reported violent crime in Greenwich.
