The Hudson Gateway Realtor Foundation, the charitable arm of the Hudson Gateway Association of Realtors, recently presented a check for $2,500 to Furniture Sharehouse in White Plains.
Furniture Sharehouse will use the funds for its continuing efforts to provide individuals and families with the basic household furnishings they need free of charge.
Furniture Sharehouse clients are referred by member social service agencies and include people moving out of homeless shelters into permanent housing, women and children escaping domestic violence, working families struggling to stay above the poverty line, young adults aging out of foster care and victims of fires or other natural disasters.
