Eat Local NY, Â in collaboration with Captain Lawrence Brewing Co., will host the 3rd Annual Bike to Beer Benefit on Sept. 24 to raise funds for its Local Food For All Project. The program helps make fresh, local and seasonally grown produce available to children and families in need by connecting them to farmers in New York.
Eat Local NY will donate 50 pounds of produce to children in need throughout the state for each participant that signs up.
The registration fee is $55, which includes admittance to a post-ride celebration with unlimited craft beer, bocce and corn hole. Riders may choose either a 25-mile course or a 55-mile course. Each course starts and finishes at Captain Lawrence Brewing at 444 Saw Mill River Rd. in Elmsford.
Eat Local NY is a nonprofit organization that aims to end childhood hunger in New York and supply proper education and resources on food and nutrition while strengthening local food systems. Â
