Kirby Aisner & Curley LLP, a women-owned law firm located in Scarsdale, New York, has announced the addition of Dana Brescia to the firm and Rosemarie E. Matera, as of counsel. Brescia will focus her practice on insolvency proceedings, mortgage modifications, and real estate matters, while Matera’s decades of experience in bankruptcy law further enrich the firm’s established practice.
Brescia brings over 20 years of experience representing clients in various complex legal matters. Previously she served as a partner at Alter & Brescia LLP, a boutique Westchester County law firm specializing in bankruptcy.

Brescia earned her Juris Doctorate from Pace University School of Law. She is admitted to practice law in New York State and the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
For more than 40 years, Matera has addressed intricate bankruptcy cases with precision and expertise. As founder of Kurtzman Matera PC, she earned a reputation for her strategic analysis, meticulous preparation and steadfast dedication to her clients.
Matera’s career also includes serving as senior attorney for the Office of the United States Trustee for the Southern District of New York and as an assistant U.S. attorney representing the Department of Health and Human Services in both the Southern District of New York and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. She received her Juris Doctorate from Washington and Lee University School of Law and is admitted to practice law in New York and New Jersey.
