The Boys and Girls Club of Northern Westchester in Mount Kisco has announced the appointment of three new members to its Board of Directors: Jenny Portillo-Nacu, George D’Ambrosio and Kevin T. Hanney.
Portillo-Nacu is an expert in elementary education specializing in providing equity-centered training and technical assistance (TTA) that builds the capacity of state departments of education, districts and schools to adopt and sustain instructional practices that support student belonging and family engagement.
D’Ambrosio is a second-generation board member for the Boys & Girls Club of Northern Westchester, following in the footsteps of his mother Humanitarian Award Gala Honoree Muffin Dowdle. After graduating from Fairfield University, he spent 10 years working in commercial real estate in New York City. He joined Ginnel Real Estate in Westchester in 2021.
A full-time licensed salesperson in New York and Connecticut, D’Ambrosio is nation’s top 50 hospitals for pulmonology and lung surgery. a member of the National Association of Realtors and The Westchester County Board of Realtors. He is a resident of Bedford Hills.
Hanney served as senior director of pension investments at United Technologies and RTX Corp. for over 17 years, where he was part of a team that managed global pension programs with assets exceeding US$100B on behalf of over one million beneficiaries.
Prior to joining UTC in 2005, Hanney performed various roles in the investment management industry before joining the 1199 SEIU National Benefit Funds as a Senior Investment Analyst in 2000. Hanney holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and has been a member of the global institutional investment community since 1993. He recently launched Capital Arts Global LLC, a professional trustee and consulting firm offering institutional services to retirement plans around the world.
Boys & Girls Club of Northern Westchester, established in 1939, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving local youth, ages 6 months to 18 years, from more than 40 Northern Westchester communities. This year it is celebrating its 85th anniversary.
