Westchester County has made a notable impact on the film industry with 32 Emmy nominations for productions filmed in the region this past year. Amazon Prime’s “Fallout” received 16 nominations, FX’s “Feud: Capote & The Swans” received 10, and HBO’s “The Gilded Age” received six. These accolades highlight Westchester’s appeal for filmmakers and underscore the impact of the county’s burgeoning film industry.
Westchester County Executive George Latimer said, “Westchester County’s film industry is a true powerhouse that showcases the beauty of our region. The industry’s economic impact is undeniable, generating over $2 billion in economic activity in 2022-2023. These Emmy nominations are a testament to the world-class productions that choose Westchester County as their backdrop.”
“The Gilded Age” was filmed at multiple locations in Westchester, including the Lyndhurst mansion in Tarrytown, Manhattanville College in Purchase, and the historic Jacob Purdy House in White Plains. Its six Emmy nominations included the best drama series, production design, costume, and acting categories.
The drama series “Fallout”’s 16 nominations included the outstanding drama series, production design, acting, and writing categories; part of the show was filmed at the Verplanck quarry in Cortlandt, New York. FX returning miniseries “Feud: Capote & The Swans” spent multiple days filming at the C.V. Rich Mansion in White Plains, and its 10 nominations included the casting, costumes, directing, and acting categories.
