Edgehill, a continuing care retirement community (CCRC) in Stamford, Connecticut, has welcomed Susan Pica as the community’s new director of sales and marketing where, with her extensive experience in the senior living industry she will be responsible for leading and managing the sales team, overseeing the entire sales process, all while ensuring that Edgehill’s values and mission are consistently demonstrated to prospective residents and their families.
“I am passionate about providing our prospective residents and their families with an exceptional tour experience, where they not only see our beautiful community, but truly feel it,” said Pica. “My favorite part of the job is knowing that I am helping people make one of the most important decisions of their lives and continuing those relationships long after they move in. Our residents have led incredible lives — and still do — and I am inspired by their stories and wisdom.”
Pica has more than 20 years of hospitality sales experience, with nearly a decade of that time working in the senior living industry. She has worked across all sectors of senior living, including independent living, assisted living and memory care. Originally from Westchester County, New York, she has lived in Fairfield County for the past 15 years.
“I joined the senior living industry because it is not just about sales, it is about guiding families through a major life transition. It is an absolute privilege to be part of that journey. Having spent many years in leadership roles in corporate hospitality, I have always been motivated by purpose and making a measurable impact and the transition to senior living sales was not only natural but fulfilling.”
“Susan has already become a valuable addition to our leadership team,” said Edgehill Campus Executive Director Chris Cilano. “Our success depends on having a strong associate team made up of skilled professionals and talented leaders. We are confident that Susan will lead our sales and marketing team with excellence.”
Pica holds both a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Quinnipiac University, is a certified dementia practitioner and is National Institute for Dementia Education (NIDE) certified.
