“Forbes” magazine recently published its second annual America’s Best-in-State CPAs list naming the top accountants in each state.
Fiondella, Milone & LaSaracina (FMLS) of Connecticut has six partners on the list, more than any other firm in the state. They include Jeff Fiondella, Frank Milone, Lisa Willauer, Amber Tucker, Justin Wilcox and Mary Wisenski.
Forbes describes how the list was defined and created:
“Created exclusively by Forbes editorial staff, the list is a compilation of the finest active certified public accountants, sourced from a universe of several thousand candidates culled from nominations, recognition from respected associations of CPAs and independent research. Those nominated were evaluated on a range of weighted criteria, including expertise, innovation, thought leadership, experience and service to the community and their profession.”
FML CPA’s three co-founding partners Fiondella, Milone and Willauer were all named to the list in recognition of both their individual work with clients and leading and growing one of the largest independent accounting firms in the state.
Wilcox, who was also recognized by Forbes last year along with Milone and Willauer, was named to the list again as a result of his work with complex tax issues for corporate clients and his innovative cryptocurrency practice.
Tucker is co-chair of the nonprofit practice at FML. She was recognized for her work with nonprofits such as social services, performing arts and museums, including government single audits for federal and state compliance.
Wisenski, who was named the CTCPA 2026 Women’s Awards: Experienced Leader earlier this year, was recognized for her expertise in internal controls and work with clients, including startups, manufacturers and publicly traded companies.
