
Jon Michaels has rejoined Carter Morse & Goodrich (CMG) in Southport, Connecticut, as a vice president. In this role, he will lead M&A engagements and support CMG’s transaction execution and business development initiatives, working closely with founders, families and management teams.

Over the course of his career, Michaels has advised on M&A transactions totaling more than $1.5 billion in realized enterprise value. Prior to rejoining CMG, he served as a vice president at Bigelow LLC, a boutique M&A firm advising similar clients and was previously a vice president in Houlihan Lokey’s Industrials M&A group. Michaaels also spent time at CMG earlier in his career following his role at Great Rock Capital, where he underwrote and managed credit facilities for privately held companies. He began his career at GE Aviation in the Financial Management Program.
Michaels is an active member of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) and regularly speaks with business owners about strategies to create and capture enterprise value in advance of an M&A transaction. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration with a concentration in finance and a minor in statistics from the University of Vermont. He currently resides in Fairfield, Connecticut, with his wife, son and dog.
