
Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital (YNHCH) has again been ranked the No. 1 children’s hospital in Connecticut and No. 2 in New England. It is ranked as one of the best children’s hospitals in the nation for five out of 11 pediatric subspecialties in the 2025-2026 Best Children’s Hospitals rankings, published online recently by “U.S. News & World Report.” YNHCH was nationally recognized in urology (No.33), diabetes and endocrinology (No.40), neonatology (No.45), gastroenterology and GI surgery (No.48) and listed among the top 50 in pediatric and adolescent behavioral health.

Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital is a national leader in pediatric care with campuses in New Haven and Bridgeport and program services and sites across the health system and the region. The network of eight integrated Pediatric Specialty Centers provides access to more than 35 pediatric medical and surgical subspecialties across the region. The centers include: two at Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital in New Haven and One Long Wharf in New Haven; 747 Belden Ave. in Norwalk; 500 W. Putnam Ave. in Greenwich; 633 Middlesex Turnpike in Old Saybrook; 5520 Park Ave. in Trumbull; and 3 Shaw’s Cove, Suite 205, in New London.
YNHCH offers Connecticut’s largest and most comprehensive array of pediatric services. With 208 licensed beds, YNHCH includes two neonatal intensive care units, a pediatric cardiac intensive care unit, a pediatric intensive care unit, a pediatric psychiatry unit, an adolescent psychiatry unit, 24-hour Level 1 Pediatric Emergency Trauma Center and a pediatric surgery center. YNHCH, with campuses in New Haven and Bridgeport, is part of the nationally recognized Yale New Haven Hospital, a 1,541-bed not-for-profit teaching hospital affiliated with Yale School of Medicine. The Yale New Haven Hospital campuses and associated ambulatory sites are Magnet-designated by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
