The J House Greenwich has appointed Gail M. Rooney of Stamford as its new director of sales and marketing. Rooney brings more than 30 years of hospitality and sales experience to the art- and- design-conscious boutique hotel. Her new role at The J House will focus on expanding the hotel’s sales strategies, enhancing its corporate and social event offerings, and driving overall growth.
“Gail is a motivated and driven professional who has proven capabilities in the sales, planning and administrative aspects of the hotel business,” said Janice Perna-Nicholas, general manager. “Her background with some of this region’s premier hospitality venues will further elevate the J House’s reputation for excellence.”
Rooney previously served as director of sales at the Hilton Stamford Hotel and Executive Meeting Center. Perviously she spent 18 years at the Tarrytown House Estate & Conference Center. Her earlier career includes sales and catering roles at Danbury Hilton Towers and the Ramada Plaza Hotel in Stamford.
Rooney earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Western New England College. She will use her vast knowledge and expertise to enhance the hotel’s sales initiatives and grow its presence as one of the top luxury destinations in the region.
