
Hudson Valley Economic Development Corp. (HVEDC) in Poughkeepsie has appointed Brian Powers, principal in Revenue Growth Services at TechCXO, to its Board of Directors. Powers brings more than 15 years of experience in strategic marketing, business development and brand leadership. He works with founder-led and owner-operated businesses, as well as professional services firms, construction companies, and mid-market organizations to strengthen market presence, accelerate client acquisition and drive sustainable growth.
TechCXO is a leading provider of fractional and interim executive services, supplying experienced C-suite leaders to help organizations scale, transform and achieve measurable results. In his role, Powers partners closely with executive teams to design and execute integrated go-to-market strategies that align with business objectives and support long-term growth. His background spans senior leadership roles across professional services, construction and media, where he led strategic planning, built high-performing marketing and business development programs, and fostered strong collaboration among marketing, sales and executive leadership. He holds an MBA and a Bachelor of Arts degree in public relations from Mount Saint Mary College and maintains a strong record of community and industry involvement.
