Anastasia Kyriakos has joined Yankwitt LLP in White Plains as an associate, where she will handle a wide range of commercial disputes. She brings valuable insight from her time clerking in the New York State Supreme Court, including the Commercial Division.
Kyriakos served as a judicial law clerk to Judge Melissa A. Crane in the commercial division and to Judge Lyle E. Frank in the civil term. In the commercial division, she was responsible for managing a docket of over 100 complex commercial cases, including breach of contract actions, business torts, shareholder disputes and commercial real estate litigation.
She gained hands-on experience in all stages of litigation — from motion practice to discovery to trial — and developed a keen understanding of how judges evaluate legal arguments and procedural strategy in high-stakes commercial matters and business disputes.
“Anastasia’s clerkship experience in the commercial division gives her a distinct advantage in litigation strategy and case management,” said Russell Yankwitt, managing partner of Yankwitt LLP. “Her firsthand experience assisting judges on some of the most complex business cases in New York gives her—and our clients—a strategic edge both in and out of the courtroom.”
Kyriakos graduated cum laude from Brooklyn Law School with her JD, where she completed more than 800 hours of pro bono work and interned with multiple legal clinics.
