Bringing its exceptional brand of care to assisted living and memory care, Broadview at Purchase College has opened the Highpoint Center for Care on the campus of the State University of New York in Westchester.
The university retirement community, renowned for championing intergenerational and lifelong learning, is now welcoming residents who are looking for a safe comfortable environment that allows them to enjoy social connection and continued personal growth. It also allows current residents to age in place.
The Broadview at Purchase College opened last December. Currently, 97% of residences are already occupied.
“Dignity without compromise is not just a motto. It is a way of life here at Broadview,’’ said Executive Director Ashley Wade. “The High Point Center for Care supports varying levels of care, allowing our residents to age in place while still enjoying the same comforts, amenities and activities as the Broadview community – including assisted living, enhanced assisted living, and memory care.”
If appropriate, residents can access services and amenities at Broadview at Purchase College. There are 36 private residential-style one-bedroom suites with all-hours support, activities of daily living, and licensed nursing staff on-site around the clock, seven days a week.
Broadview welcomes pets, too.
Broadview’s High Point Center also helps those dealing with dementia-related conditions with consistent and compassionate care at all hours of the day and night.
Healthcare Service Director Brittaney Jones-Alleyne said that in keeping with Broadview’s intergenerational learning model, Broadview recruits students to run activities that are stimulating and challenging.
Set on 40 acres with walking and exercise trails, Broadview at Purchase College offers a full continuum of services. The community has 174 senior residential apartments, 20% of which are set aside for residents who meet certain median income requirements.
And as part of the Purchase College community, Broadview residents also enjoy the many amenities of the college, including the renowned Neuberger Museum of Art, the Performing Arts Center, the academic and athletic facilities, and the park-like campus as well as formal and informal programming and collaborative opportunities designed to promote intergenerational engagement with students.
Broadview was co-developed by Senior Care Development, LLC and LCS Development, LLC, and is operated by Life Care Services®.
