Elmsford-based Robert Martin Company (RMC) has broken ground for the construction of two flex-industrial buildings that will add 71,000 square feet of space at the company’s Mid-Westchester Executive Park in Hawthorne.
The buildings to be constructed are at 14 Skyline Drive and 16 Skyline Drive. The 14 Skyline structure will be 34,738 square feet, while the building at 16 Skyline will have 36,360 square feet. Construction is expected to be completed in the third quarter of next year. RMC’s in-house construction and development team, led by Executive Vice President Damian Finley, will oversee the construction. RM Friedland in Harrison has been selected as the brokerage firm of record for the new properties.
According to RMC’s CEO Tim Jones, “RMC remains a long-term investor in Westchester, as the county remains a significant driver of economic growth for the region, and the investment in these new, flex-industrial buildings reflects that belief.”
According to Town of Mount Pleasant Supervisor Carl Fulgenzi, “Robert Martin has been an integral part of the Town of Mount Pleasant since the late 1960s by building millions of square feet of commercial space, which benefits taxpayers. We do appreciate Robert Martin’s investment in the Town of Mount Pleasant and we look forward to working with them.”
RMC has reported strong leasing activity and diversity of tenants at its flex-industrial park properties, which RMC notes are strategically located near Westchester County’s major roadways that provide good access to millions of business customers, consumers, and skilled workers within a short driving distance. Since its founding, the company has acquired and developed real estate totaling more than 20 million square feet of industrial, residential, retail and office properties.
