The MTA and its former Chairman Richard Ravitch may like their plan for a new mobility tax, but you”™d be hard-pressed to find a single business that thinks another tax in a down economy is going to make it easier to attract or retain business in the Empire State.
John D”™Ambrosio, president of the Orange County Chamber of Commerce, and his peers from mid-Hudson chambers are encouraging the business community to tell legislative leaders what they think of the proposed mobility tax.
“Strength in numbers,” said D”™Ambrosio, who is calling on businesses to write elected officials and voice opposition to another tax on the “highest taxed business community in the nation. ”¦ take a few minutes and let your voice be heard.”
