Construction has begun on a Chipotle Mexican Grill at The Rye Ridge Shopping Center in Rye Brook, which is expected to open within the next several months, property managers said.
Chipotle signed a long-term lease for some 2,700 square feet in the former movie theater building, said Erin Hinchey, leasing representative for Win Ridge Realty L.L.C. in Rye Brook, manager of the shopping center.
Rye Ridge Shopping Center is at the intersection of Ridge and Bowman avenues and has more than 40 boutiques, restaurants and professional offices.
“We are ecstatic that the Chipotle deal is finalized,” Hinchey said. “Chipotle is probably the most sought after national chain today and they could have gone anywhere but they selected The Rye Ridge Shopping Center.”
The restaurant will be the chain”™s first Westchester location. Chipotle has more than 830 locations.
