Norwalk Hospital recently joined the Western Connecticut Health Network to expand patient access to primary and specialty care  centers.
Norwalk will join Danbury and New Milford hospitals in the network, governed by a single board of directors. The transition will go into effect later this year.
“From the first day our new organization begins, people who know each organization will immediately experience the benefits of our collaboration,” said Dan DeBarba, Norwalk Hospital CEO, in a press release. “Together we will offer easier access to more resources to help people lead healthier lives.”
In light of the changing health care landscape, network official say they hope to redefine what health care organizations can offer and strengthen the network’s commitments to medical education and research.
