Sunscreen maker basks in new equity

MDSolarSciences, a sunscreen company based in Norwalk, reported raising nearly $2 million of a planned $3.5 million round of financing.

CEO Dr. Robert Friedman is a practicing physician and professor at New York University School of Medicine”™s department of dermatology.

MDSolarSciences says its patent-pending sunscreens for both adults and children that have high efficacy and water resistant qualities, are safe both to skin and the environment, and are moisturizing and non-irritating even for those with problem skin.
