STAMFORD – Stamford Town Center will replace its current outdated parking system with a technology-backed platform powered by AirGarage, a full-service parking operator, used at properties nationwide.
As of October, existing pay stations will be removed and replaced with AirGarage’s mobile-first platform. The system allows visitors to park and pay directly from their smartphones, making parking faster, easier, and hassle-free. The parking rate of $1 per hour will not change; however, there will be a 35-cent processing fee for each transaction.
The new system allows drivers to:
- Pay by app or mobile web, no machines or tickets.
- Start and end parking on your phone, or enable auto-start sessions for automatic tracking upon entry and exit.
- Receive 24/7 support by real people ready to help anytime.
“We’re excited to bring AirGarage’s technology to Stamford Town Center,” said the mall’s General Manager Dan Stolzenbach. “This upgrade is all about making parking easier for our guests. No more pay stations, no more tickets, just a smooth, modern experience, especially if customers opt into the automatic sessions feature.”
How to Use AirGarage
- Download the AirGarage app or visit pay.airgarage.com.
- Create an account and add your payment method.
- Scan the QR code at the parking entrance or search for Stamford Town Center in the app.
- Tap “Start Parking” when you arrive.
- Tap “End Parking” when you leave to end your session and receive a receipt.
Sessions begin when you park and end when you leave, so there’s no need to guess how long you’ll be parked or return to pay. For an even simpler experience, drivers can opt-in to automatic sessions. With license plate recognition, your session begins automatically when you enter and ends when you exit, no need to tap start or stop.
AirGarage operates more than 300 properties nationwide, from shopping centers to resorts and office buildings. Partners see increased revenue, reduced maintenance costs, and fewer driver complaints.
“Stamford Town Center is a perfect fit for AirGarage,” said Jonathan Barkl, CEO of AirGarage. “They’re focused on delivering a best-in-class experience, and we’re proud to help make parking as easy and efficient as the rest of the visit.”
