Stamford Health and Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC) announced on March 21 announced that they were expanding the scope of their partnership in order to help Stamford Health increase its neurosurgical capabilities and expand the clinical team to treat even more cerebrovascular conditions and complex stroke cases.
The two medical providers already had an established partnership which saw CUIMC Endovascular Neurosurgeon Doctor Max Shutran join the medical staff of Stamford Health.
“I am thrilled to be joining Stamford Health’s dynamic neurosciences team,” said Shutran earlier this year when he became part of the Stamford Health team. “Their vision of being the most trusted health care partner in the community aligns with my personal belief system of how I care for my patients.”
“Our partnership with Columbia University Irving Medical Center is one that we are extremely proud of,” said Rod Acosta, MD, Chief Physician Executive and President & CEO of Stamford Health Medical Group. “By adding new neurosurgeons with advanced capabilities and expertise, our patients can continue to receive world-class care closer to home.”
