GREENWICH – After an extensive search, Family Centers’ Board of Directors have appointed Dr. Louis Josephson as its next president and CEO. He succeeds Bob Arnold, who will retire after 43 years. His first day is April 21.
Josephson comes to Family Centers with more than 30 years of professional experience leading mental health and human services organizations. Most recently, he served as CEO at Boston-based Bay Cove Human Services, a nonprofit serving people with mental health, addiction, homelessness, and developmental needs. Before that he was the CEO of The Brattleboro Retreat, Vermont’s largest regional free-standing psychiatric health system.
“With an extensive background in nonprofit leadership, the board is confident that Louis will successfully guide Family Centers into this exciting next chapter,” said Kate Clark, Family Centers’ board chair. “Throughout his career, he has demonstrated an exceptional ability to build relationships, inspire teams, and drive impactful change. Louis is also an accomplished social worker and is acutely familiar with the challenges many of our families face.”
Josephson earned a BA degree in English from Tufts University and a MS from the Columbia University School of Social Work. He later earned a Ph.D. in Clinical Social Work from New York University Shirley M. Ehrenkranz School of Social Work.
