For $28 million, Stamford-based Crane Co. acquired Delta Fluid Products Ltd., which is on pace this year for $37 million in sales of regulators and valves for gas facilities and building ventilation conduits.
Delta Fluid Products is based in St. Helens, England, between Manchester and Liverpool, where it has 220 employees.
Crane already sells building ventilation controls under the Crane and Hattersley brands, and valves for water and gas utilities under the Wask and Viking Johnson brands.
In the second quarter, Crane made $59 million on sales of $693 million. In addition to valves, the company sells aerospace materials and vending machines.
