GREENWICH – The BNY plans to close its only private branch in Connecticut at 10 Mason St. on June 30, according to a notice from the state banking department.
The New York-chartered bank filed notice with the state on March 21.
The Greenwich office has been serving the community and surrounding area since 1914. It includes certified financial planners, chartered financial analysts, certified trust & financial advisors and dedicated local fiduciary experts. The team has particular expertise in multi-generational families, foundations, business owners in transition, and divorce.
BNY Wealth Management will remain at the Mason Street office as part of a leaseback deal, a bank spokesman told the Fairfield County Business Journal. The bank is negotiating the sale of the building, according to the spokesman.
