A Luminous Future Gala

The Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum will hold “A Luminous Future Gala” to feature awards and a new exhibition on Oct. 18, 2025, 6 p.m., at 295 West Avenue, Norwalk, CT, in the Museum’s historic rooms of the Mansion. The event will be co-chaired by LMMM Trustee Kathy Olsen and Douglas Hempstead, Chairman of the Board of Trustees.

Mr. Hempstead and Ms. Olsen said, “This is the first year we have been opened to the public after a two-year closure and we truly hope that this exciting, celebratory evening will energize our generous supporters to raise vital funds for this National Historic Landmark and the communities it serves.”

This Gala will celebrate the efforts and commitment of all who have made this National Historic Landmark and its outstanding collections luminous and inspiring, like never before. The institution will present awards to The Honorable Bob Duff, Senate Majority Leader, CT, The Honorable Harry Rilling, Mayor of Norwalk, CT, and LMMM Vice Chairman Patsy Brescia.

From enhanced galleries to newly restored statuaries, from glittering period lighting to magnificent doors, newly restored and embellished with decorative metallic accents and motifs, the Museum will celebrate a new era of community engagement and enhanced visitor experience.

This glamorous event will feature signature cocktails, an Illuminated Psychic Reading by Marla, award presentations, a seated, formal black-tie dinner, and the exhibitions, “Striking Gold: Artists on Wealth and Worth,” in collaboration with The Artists Collective of Westport, and “Bulls of Wall Street: High Finance, Power, and Social Change in Victorian America,” featuring rare artifacts from the NY Stock Exchange and never-before-seen private collections.

The event is black-tie and guests are invited to wear a tiara, a sequin gown, or a “light up” bowtie; or anything they deem appropriate as long as it is luminous!
