Summer is coming, and members of the Town of Southeast Cultural Arts Coalition are busy planning for the 6th Annual Brewster Summer Music Series. The first concert will kick off Wednesday, June 17, at 6:30 p.m. and continue each week through July 29. The line-up of free Wednesday night concerts at the Brewster Village gazebo is still being developed, but will surely feature fantastic bands from a variety of music genres.
Back by popular demand, the band Bookends is scheduled to play at the July 1 concert. Last year, they drew the largest crowd of the series.
Located in Brewster at the corner of Railroad and Morningthorpe Avenues, the gazebo at Veterans Park is easily accessed via multiple transportation options – including a scenic drive along the East Branch Reservoir on Route 22 North or a 10-minute drive from exit 10 along Route 684. Concert attendees may also find convenience traveling via MTA on Metro-North’s Hudson Line to the Brewster Station. The gazebo is a 5-minute walk from the station.
The Cultural Arts Coalition is a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering and sustaining the arts in Brewster, the Town of Southeast, and the surrounding region. While spearheading the restoration of its home – the historic Southeast Old Town Hall – the Coalition has presented hundreds of affordable and engaging arts offerings at the Old Town Hall Theater, the Studio Around the Corner, and other local venues – “Celebrating the community with transformative and inspiring arts experiences!”
